Korean Corporation Mirae Plasma is introducing a breakthrough super-thin
speaker called Plasma Speaker or Film Speaker. This product is the first
of its kind and performs better than regular speaker, according to the
manufacturer.
While the shape and weight of conventional speaker depend mostly on
their resonance-based technique, the Plasma Speaker is as thin as paper
(0.5-50mm compared to 50-500mm of regular speakers), its flexibility
allows any shape and design, and you can even print over it.
Maker of Film Speakers reports that sound spread reaches 360 degrees,
while regular speakers reach a spread of 60-120 degrees. Furthermore,
with production costs lower by 40%, the Plasma Speakers are likely to
be cheaper than their conventional counterparts.
